The Liebster Award

I haven't stayed up on reading my favorite blogs but the other day I decided I had a few extra minutes so I clicked on Emma's blog to read about their trip to China and in perfect timing a new post was added which was this award.

First of all let me say thank you to Emma over at Southern Bell Peppers for the Liebster Award and for getting me to blog again.  There have been a lot of struggles in my heart/life/mind lately and blogging is actually much harder for me now.

I've never heard of the Liebster Award but it sounded like fun so, here we go with the rules:
- Acknowledge the blog that nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions the nominating blogger created.
- Nominate 11 blogs with less then 200 followers that deserve some recognition.
- Create 11 new questions for them to answer.

Here are the questions asked of me, with my answers in pink
  1. What is your favorite Bible character? These are always hard questions to answer but right now in my life I would say I am getting a lot of encouragement and conviction from reading about Paul's life.
  2. What Bible verse has encouraged you the most? This past year I have been clinging to these two verses.     Psalm 61:2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.     Proverbs 18:10The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
  3. What are your favorites types of books? I am a very slow reader so I focus on Bible study type books.  I enjoy reading books by Elizabeth George.
  4. If you could own any kind of animal in the world what would it be? a horse
  5. Dark chocolate or milk chocolate? dark chocolate, although if you would have asked me this question 5 years ago I probably would have said milk chocolate.
  6. What country's culture interests you the most?  I don't really know many other cultures besides North America and Argentina.  I think it would be great to learn each country's culture.
  7. What is your favorite hymn? Count Your Blessings
  8. What was your most memorable birthday? This is a hard one to answer…but I guess if I really have to pick just one, I will pick my last birthday before Mike passed away.  I was out with Kathy because we were going on a cruise to celebrate my birthday.  The reason I pick this as my most memorable is because Mike called me on my birthday, left a voicemail on my phone and I still have that voicemail today.
  9. If you could travel to any American national park which one would it be? Olympic or Glacier
  10. If you could learn any language what would it be? Spanish - although I know some, I would love to be fluent at speaking it.
  11. If you could live anywhere where would it be? I just want to be living in God's will…wherever that takes me.
Now that I am all done answering these questions, let me write 11 new questions to be answered.
  1. Do you like to plan things out in detail or be spontaneous?
  2. How many emails do you get each week, roughly?
  3. Would you ever sky dive or bungee jump?
  4. Do you like to talk on the phone?
  5. How do you feel about public speaking?
  6. If you could learn one random skill, what would you learn?
  7. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
  8. Have you ever taken a personality test? (How did the results turn out?)
  9. If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try?
  10. What’s your earliest memory?
  11. What’s the best decision you ever made?
